Halloween Chex Mix
How is it almost Halloween? Time slow down! But not really because I’m ready to start talking about Christmas and the Holidays…
It’s almost Halloween and it’s a rainy weekend here in Memphis, so I thought I would share a fun recipe that’s an easy snack for an adult party or the absolute best surprise you can give your kids for an in home movie night!
Warning: Highly Addictive + some how Shrinks Clothing.
This particular Chex Mix is paired with an all time family fave- Puppy Chow. This was very much a family staple, growing up! I used to get SO excited when mom would make it!
9 cups Rice Chex
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups mini pretzels
1 1/2 cups candy corn
1 1/2 cups oreos, slightly chopped
1 cup Reese’s Pieces
3/4 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup brownie mix
Pour the Chex into a large bowl and set aside.
Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave for 60 seconds, stirring occasionally to smooth.
Pour chocolate mix over the Chex and gently stir to coat. Divide between two gallon Ziplock bags, and pour the powdered sugar in one and the brownie mix in the other. Seal and shake to evenly coat.
Spread cereal onto a pan to let the chocolate firm for about 20 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.
Pair with your favorite age appropriate scary movie and have a family-fun movie night! Enjoy!
