Easy Pot Roast

By the looks of my recent posts, I’ve been on a recipe kick. But, so many of you seem to enjoy! Yesterday was the perfect relaxing Saturday and the first one in a long time for all of us to be + stay home. I threw on a pot roast by 8:00am! The smell of the Roast cooking makes it an extra “homey” day. We spent time in the yard (blowing leaves), watching football, playing outside, making brownies… literally the ideal Fall Saturday.

Here it is. The easiest and yummiest Pot Roast. Enjoy!

  • Pot Roast (I get most of my meat from Costco.)

  • Celery Chopped

  • Onions Chopped

  • Potato Chopped

  • Sweet Potato Chopped (optional)

  • 1 package Onion Soup Mix

  • Chicken Broth

  • Beef Broth

Coat meat in flour, salt + pepper and favorite seasoning. Brown meat on all sides. Place in crockpot on low. In crock pot, add onion soup mix on top of meat. Add celery, onions, potato to pot. Pour equal amounts of each Broth into pot. Cook on low, all day. I make a brown gravy with the Pot Roast juice for a thicker sauce. Serve with cornbread.
